This gift box allows the recipient to discover the coat of arms related to a chosen surname and helps them to understand the symbolism behind it.

Once they have registered their gift, they will be sent an ornate certificate illustrating the coat of arms. This information is provided by a team of heraldic and genealogical researchers who have researched more than 200,000 different coats of arms.

If the recipient wishes to decipher the coat of arms for their chosen surname, there is a heraldry wall chart enclosed in the gift box which should provide useful information to get them started. This can also be used to help to decipher other coats of arms that the recipient may come across.

After registration the recipient will receive:

Can I receive the coat of arms for any surname I choose or does it have to be my own?
No, it doesn’t have to be your own. You are free to provide any surname you wish.

What if there isn’t a coat of arms behind the name I choose?
The imagery for the coat of arms is obtained from a team of heraldic and genealogical researchers who have researched over 200,000 different coats of arms. Although a coat of arms can be found for most surnames of British descent, not every name will have one. If your surname is of British origin and our researchers cannot source a coat of arms then our master heralds will create one especially for you!

How long does it take to receive my coat of arms certificate?
This depends on how you choose to register your gift. If you register online then you will receive your supporter certificate within 10 working days. If you fill out and return your form by post then it is increased to 28 working days from the date Gift Republic receives your form.

How long do I have to register my gift?
Your gift code expires 12 months after the date of purchase. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.
